This agreement aims to facilitate the structuring of collaborations and funding opportunities for collaborative projects and innovative medtech companies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Increased collaboration between Canadian regions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This partnership will strengthen project and funding opportunities for Alberta companies in the MEDTEQ Canadian network through its many innovation support and financing tools. Conversely, Canadian companies will benefit from new collaboration and financing opportunities in Alberta. By extension, international companies in the MEDTEQ network will also be able to take advantage of these increased opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>This partnership will allow for greater cooperation between the two organizations, allowing them to better combine their resources and services: grants for collaborative projects, adoption of new technologies and investments in young companies.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;This partnership is a continuation of our efforts over the past year to strengthen and promote collaborative projects that can support the growth of Canadian SME. BioAlberta is a dynamic cluster with which we are pleased to work, and we are convinced that our respective members will benefit from our synergy,&#8221; said Diane C\u00f4t\u00e9, President and CEO of MEDTEQ.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to formalize our collaboration with MEDTEQ to increase opportunities for Alberta medtech companies to access capital.\u00a0 MEDTEQ\u2019s programs will assist Alberta companies by not only providing additional financing opportunities, it will also lead to collaborative projects with national and international companies that may not have yet discovered Alberta\u2019s flourishing medtech sector,\u201d said Mel Wong, President and CEO of BioAlberta.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-30-<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>About MEDTEQ<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>MEDTEQ is the pan-Canadian Consortium for Industrial Research and Innovation in Medical Technology.
