Mission
The mission of RÉIS is to connect and ensure collaboration between health technology companies in Quebec and the health and social service institutions that are members of RÉIS, in order to accelerate the development, evaluation and implementation, in Quebec and elsewhere, of innovations that meet the health needs of populations.
Vision
To create a collaborative environment conducive to the development and evaluation of technologies that meet the needs of their users and healthcare systems, fostering implementation and adoption by local, national and international healthcare environments.
Strategic objectives
1
Facilitate access to expertise and to communities or clienteles that are representative of the target market.
2
Develop and optimize collaboration between Quebec companies and health and social service institutions at all stages of health technology development and assessment.
3
Identify, develop and share best practices in health technology development and assessment that support the implementation and adoption of these innovations.
Members of RÉIS
The deployment of RÉIS began in 2021, with a call for proposals issued by MEDTEQ+ to establishments in Quebec’s health and social services network (RSSS). The aim was to finance the creation or consolidation of expert teams within establishments, dedicated to supporting and collaborating with companies in the healthcare technology sector, at all stages of innovation’s development.
Following this call, 6 RSSS establishments received financial assistance from the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE) and the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS), thus becoming members of RÉIS.
Since 2023, MEDTEQ+ has had the mandate of coordinating RÉIS, leading and facilitating exchanges and collaborations between its members and partners.
RÉIS establishments implement processes, new practices and tools to collaborate with industry on innovative healthcare projects.
Whether you want to :
- validate a response to a need ;
- co-develop a solution by combining your expertise with that of healthcare experts;
- carry out tests or evaluate and demonstrate the value of an innovation in a real healthcare environment;
- in just a few clicks, you’ll be referred to the teams at these 6 establishments.

Achievements
Since 2022, RÉIS establishments have expanded their teams by recruiting experts in innovation, evaluation and related fields. These teams welcome and support companies and players from their internal ecosystems in carrying out collaborative projects based on healthcare technologies. As a network, they share their learning, knowledge and experience to identify best practices in innovation and partnership with industry.
In its coordinating role, MEDTEQ+ facilitates these exchanges and leads discussions between institutions, companies and ecosystem stakeholders. The participation of all healthcare innovation stakeholders enables the ongoing development of new practices and tools, fostering collaboration at every stage of the innovation cycle.
Here are just some of the achievements since 2022 :
15
jobs created within member establishments
20
partnership applications received annually by each establishment on average
30 +

- a senior advisory committee, which identifies and prioritizes the issues to be addressed;
- various expert committees, which develop deliverables in response to the prioritized challenges.
